Beta Waves
Roughly 16 hours a day is spent by the adult brain in the Beta wave state. Beta waves occurs in the 12 to 40 cycles per second range. Beta waves have a lower amplitude comparatively.
Beta waves are usually the result of a highly engaged mind, such as when a teacher is giving a presentation, or a negotiator is actively engaged in negotiations. Beta waves are the states associated with normal wake consciousness.
Beta waves are further split into 3 stages:
- High Beta Waves(19Hz+)
- Beta Waves(15-18Hz)
- Low Beta Waves (12-15Hz)
